I have been busy baking since last week after i found a nice Japanese Cotton Cheese Cake recipe. The cheese cake is easy to make and most important not fattening at all. I never thought my cake will come out with a soft texture and all my colleagues say it was delicious! :) Next round i wanna to try to bake Japanese Green Tea Cake. Wish me luck!

Went to Pangkor Island during the Labour Day holiday. Went there for 3 days 2 nights vacation to relax myself from the tedious work life. Pangkor is a small fisherman town with clear water beach. Everything is nice at Pangkor expecially their seafood. All fresh directly from the sea. Seafood from Pangkor will be posted in next post!

Snack @ Singapore

I was on a business trip to Singapore last Thursday. Went to Tampines 1 mall and spotted a long queue at this Shanghai Pan Fried Pork Bun stall. It is a pan fried of "siao long pau" version and taste not bad. The filling is very juicy and flavorsome.

After that we also spotted a bakery shop "Yamazaki" with lots of people queing up for breads as well. If not mistaken this "Yamazaki" bakery shop is same franchise as the Sun Moulin bakery. Bought a corn cheese bread and a tuna & egg sandwich. Thumbs up!

Then after we came out from the mall, we heard "Bun promotion! All bread at same price only $1!" We later on found out that there is also a bread shop outside the mall doing promotion. The shop was filled with various type of buns. It was so tempting to see all the breads and cakes. Me and my friend also could not stand but to grab some of the breads there. :)

Flower Tea from Purple Cane

Yesterday was my mother's birthday and my sister bought a great gift to her. It was a set of heat resistant glass tea pot with a pack of flower tea from Purple Cane. I guess everyone have heard of Purple Cane before. It is well known in their tea art centre and restaurant in KL. Their first tea art centre was at the Chinatown and later on branch over to Mid Valley and Sunway Pyramid.

Heat Resistant Glass Teapot Set with 5 little cups

Back to the flower tea that my sister bought yesterday, the tea pack comes with 9 different type of flowers. They are the lily, rose, marigold, jasmine, sweet osmanthus, carnation, bachelor's button, chrysanthemum and lavender. All of these flowers are scented and have different health benefits. For example, lily is good in nourishes the lungs and calming while roses relives mental exhaustion, remove internal heat and nourishes the skin. There are more other benefits from the flowers. The flower tea tasted so refreshing and suitable for people who doesn't like the traditional chinese tea leaves.

Japanese Dinner

During the weekend, a Japanese friend of mine invited me and some of the friends to his house for dinner. He cooked some of the local Japanese dishes for us to try. All of the food are very delicious and easy to prepare.
One of my favourite dish for that night was the Okonomiyaki aka Japanese Pizza. It's tasted so delicious and easy to make. According to my Japanese friend, there are few style of cooking the Okonomiyaki. The Tokyo style, Osaka style and Hiroshima style. The one he prepared for us was the Hiroshima style. At the same time, my friend also prepared the Japanese hamburger for us. Hamburger was famous among the japanese kids.

Pasta de Gohan

We decided to head to Pasta de Gohan for lunch after long hours of shopping at Sunway Pyramid with my mum and sister. Knew Pasta de Gohan through some food blogs and they are well known for their attractive food replica (Japanese Style) exhibited at the cafe's entrance.

Green Tea Ice

Attractive food display @ the entrance.

For the lunch, my mum ordered the Bolognese Spaghetti while my sis go for their famous Fettucine with Japanese Style Original Cream Sauce - Oyster and Bacon Carbonara. As for me, i ordered the Japanese Curry Fried Rice.

Japanese Style Bolognese Spaghetti RM 20.80

Japanese Style Original Cream Sauce - Oyster and Bacon Carbonara Fettucine RM 24.80

Japanese Style Curry Fried Rice with Beef Bacon RM 14.80

No doubt the food presentation is pretty attractive and the cafe's enviroment is comfortable for dining. However the food quality is not as what i expected and portion of the food served is rather small with the price they charged.
