Japanese Noodle - Kishimen

Soba, ramen and udon have been a common Japanese noodles among us. We can easily get these noodles at any of the Japanese restaurants. However not many people heard of "Kishimen". Kishimen is also one type of board and flat Japanese wheat noodles which is slightly thicker and wider than the udon noodle. Kishimen orginated from Nagoya, Japan. It looks like our "Pan Mee", but Kishimen taste more silky and smoother. Last weekend i decided to give this Kishimen noodle pack a try.

Kishimen Noodle Pack

Comes with a pack of kishimen noodle & sauce.

First Step: Heat up a pot of water (~500 ml). Put in the kishimen.

Step 2: Boil the kishimen for around 3-4 minutes. Then add in the pack of sauce into the pot. Boil for another few minutes. You can add in additional items as side dish. I have choosen wakame for that day.

Step 3: Kishimen is ready to be served. With wakame and a chicken wing :)

The soup tasted flavoursome and the soup was perfectly absorbed by the kishimen . Something easy to prepare and healthy. Less oil and fat.
